What began as a small hobby over 23 years ago has become my life’s passion.

My journey into creating 2D hand and footprint keepsakes started while working with children, but it was over 12 years ago that I truly realised the difference my work could make. I created a precious hand cast for a friend’s young son before he sadly passed away. Seeing the comfort that keepsake brought to his family changed everything. From that moment, I knew I wanted to dedicate myself to preserving life’s most precious memories.

Over the years, I taught myself the art of 3D casting, overcoming countless challenges and continually refining my techniques. Every casting is completely unique, and every family has their own story. Even after all these years, I still learn something new with every piece I create.

I never imagined that bereavement work would become such an important part of what I do. When I was first asked to create a keepsake for a family after the loss of a loved one, I felt completely overwhelmed. If I’m honest, for the first few years, every time I was asked, I felt exactly the same. Supporting families through such heartbreaking moments is emotionally challenging, and it remains one of the hardest parts of my work.

Over the years, however, I have come to see it as the greatest privilege of what I do. To be trusted with creating something a family can hold close forever – something that brings comfort when words simply aren’t enough – is an honour I never take for granted.

Today, thanks to the incredible support of my community, funeral directors, and Forget Me Not Children’s Hospice, I have created a business built on compassion, care and trust. In 2022, I took the leap to become fully self-employed, allowing me to be there for families whenever they need me most.

From family hand casts and baby keepsakes to pet memorials and bespoke memorial jewellery, every piece I create is designed to celebrate love, preserve memories, and bring comfort for years to come.

I work from my little workshop in Mytholmroyd, where every keepsake is lovingly handcrafted. I’m also proud to support other local businesses by using trusted local specialists for all of my outsourced work, ensuring every piece is finished to the highest standard.

As I work on my own, I can only offer my services throughout the Calderdale area. This allows me to give every family the time, care and attention they deserve, while continuing to support the wonderful local businesses that help bring each keepsake to life.

Thank you for allowing me to be a small part of your story. I am truly grateful for the trust you place in me, and it is a privilege to create keepsakes that will be treasured for generations to come.

With love,

Jennie
